Glen Marvin Green

Glen Marvin Green of Cuba, Missouri was born January 29, 1936 at St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Ivy and Mary (nee: Huitt) Green and left from this life on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Gibbs Care Center, Steelville, Missouri at the age of 80 years. Glen proudly served in the United States Army from 20 September 1955 till 23 October 1957. Glen was united in marriage to Lucille Harris on November 12, 1960 at Cherryville, Missouri and they were the proud parents of two daughters; Susie and Judy. Glen spent many years of his life driving a truck. He hauled fish from Steelville to Chicago, drove the ready mix truck for Doc Halbert and he also drove a dump truck during his career. In his younger years Glen enjoyed camping. After retiring he spent hours watching TV and taking drives to see the country side. For the last ten to twelve years his best companion was a furry four legged friend named Lucky. After Lucille passed away, Glen was always the co-pilot for RJ during the summer and winter parades. Glen was a loving son, brother, husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, great uncle, brother-in-law and friends of many. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. Glen is preceded in death by his parents Ivy and Mary Green, wife Lucille Green, one daughter Judy Lenhardt, one brother Eugene Green, brothers-in-law Dwight and Albert Harris, sister-in-law Frieda Fierce and other family and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving daughter Susie and husband Ralph Prickett of Cuba, son-in-law Tony Lenhardt of Rolla, three grandchildren RJ Prickett of Cuba, Heather and Joshua Chapman of Cuba and Brittany and husband Wes Martin of Rolla, three great grandchildren Evan J. Chapman, Joshua A. Martin and Kaitlyn R. Martin, two sisters Violet Edison of Miami, Florida and June Nash of Salem, Missouri, sisters-in-law Charlotte Green of Tipton, Missouri and Mary Ruth and husband Walter Haffer of Cuba, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2016 from 12:00 till 2:00 PM at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington Street, Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington Street, Cuba. Special recorded music will be "The Old Rugged Cross", "Amazing Grace", "Will the Circle Be Unbroken" and "Precious Memories". Interment and prayers will follow at the Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Green family.
