Gerri Grueber

March 1, 1930 — February 7, 2023

Gerri Grueber of Bourbon, Missouri was born on Saturday, March 1, 1930, in Bourbon, Missouri to the union of Edgar and Grace (Miller) Coffman. She left from this life on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at the Riverview at The Park Nursing Center in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri at the age of 92.


Gerri was united in marriage to Eugene Edward Grueber on July 31, 1976, in St. Louis, Missouri.


Gerri was a gifted seamstress who began sewing at the young age of seven years old. She loved being a seamstress. She not only sewed for herself, but she did alterations for others and finally established, “Gerri’s House of Fashion Alterations” in Kirkwood and Des Peres, Missouri. Gerri was a loving wife, a precious mother, and an adored grandmother. She was a woman of faith who loved the Lord and enjoyed attending church services where she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bourbon and a longtime member at the First Baptist Church in Arnold, Missouri.

Gerri was preceded in death by her parents Edgar and Grace Coffman; husband, Gene Grueber, one son Buddy Ennis; one daughter Irene Lawson; two brothers; Don and wife Charlene Coffman, Harold and wife Peggy Coffman, one sister Terry Coffman-Valley, two brothers in-law, Robert Wagner and Gene Wissmann and two sisters-in-law; Rosemary and Naoma Coffman.


Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her loving daughter Nancy and husband Kirk Belmar of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, and son in-law, Lenny Lawson of Arnold, Missouri; five sisters and three brothers; Willard Coffman of Vichy, Charlie Coffman of Owensville, Missouri, Catherine Wagner of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Louise Heck of Rolla, Missouri, Margaret Risenhoover of Rogers, Arkansas, Marvin and wife Bobbie Coffman of St. James, Missouri, Donna Wissmann of Union, Missouri, Wanda and husband Ron Starbeck of Bourbon, Missouri; seventeen grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.


Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023, 11 am - 1 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri.


Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023, 1pm at Mizell Funeral Home with Brett Narzinski and Nancy Belmar, officiating.


Interment will follow at Bourbon Cemetery in Bourbon, Missouri.


If desired, memorials would be appreciated to (DAV) Disabled American Veterans.
