Fannie A. Mantei of South St. Louis, Missouri was born on February 4, 1930, in Flat River, Missouri to the union of Walter and Della M. Barron. She left this life on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at Stonebridge Nursing Home in Owensville, Missouri at the age of 93.

 

Fannie was a Seamstress for International Hat Company for several years. She was a longtime parishioner of Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church in St. Louis. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family and friends.

 

Fannie is preceded in death by her parents Walter Barron and Della M. Burns; husband Robert Mantei; six brothers Henry, Gene, Orville, Cecil, Clarence and Wyman Barron; two sisters Gladys Kopp and Mary Wisdom; brother-in-law Dean Richardson.

 

Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her three children Donna and husband Bob Ziegelmeyer of Cuba, Paul and wife Bonnie Mantei of Cannon Falls, Minnesota, Augustine Mantei of Richland; two sisters Edna Richardson of Desloge and Hilda McCarthy of Farmington; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.

 

In keeping with her wishes, Fannie will be cremated.

 

Private Inurnment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.
