Dr. Marilyn Kathleen Boeh

Dr. Marilyn Kathleen Boeh of Cuba, Missouri was born in St. Louis, Missouri on Friday, May 21, 1948, the third of Albert and Juanita Reynolds' seven children. She left from this life, surrounded by family on Friday, October 25, 2019 at Evelyn's House, St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 71 years.

Marilyn was united in marriage to Stephen E. Boeh in 1977 in Kansas City, Missouri and they were the proud parents of Christopher, Stephanie and Nathan.

Marilyn's career in education spanned thirty-six years, eighteen as a middle school teacher and eighteen as a school administrator. Her teaching included two years in Old Monroe, Missouri and sixteen years in Elwood, Kansas. The next five years she served as the elementary principal in Rushville, Missouri. She retired from Strain-Japan after a thirteen-year stint as the principal/superintendent. Marilyn received her undergraduate degree from UMSL (University of Missouri St. Louis), her master's degree from NWMSU (Northwest Missouri State University) and PhD from UMKC (University of Missouri-Kansas City).

In her spare time, she enjoyed solving Sudoku puzzles, working jigsaw puzzles, traveling and watching Jeopardy and reality TV. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She treasured their many accomplishments, their unique personalities and the values they exemplified.

Marilyn was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, step-grandmother, aunt, great aunt, sister-in-law and friend of many. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents Albert and Juanita Reynolds, husband Stephen Boeh and other family and friends.

Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her loving children, Christopher Thompson of Lebanon, Missouri, Stephanie and husband Don Donnelly of Sarasota, Florida and Nathan "Nate" and wife Samantha Boeh of Cuba; five grandchildren, Taylor, Gage, Drew, Dillon and Brayden; two step grandchildren, Emilee and Alexis, six brothers and sisters, Sheila Shantz of St. Louis, Missouri, Jane Sachs of St. Joseph, Missouri, James and wife Nikki Reynolds of Helena, Montana, Alan and wife Pam Reynolds of Gainesville, Georgia, Lillie Saletzki of Ballwin, Missouri, Lloyd and wife DeeDee Reynolds of Douglasville, Georgia; sisters and brothers-in-law, Maribeth and husband Ken Lee of Smithville, Missouri, John and wife Andrea Boeh of St. Joseph, Missouri, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, October 28, 2019 from 5:00 till 8:00 p.m. at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington Street, Cuba, Missouri.

Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at the Mizell Funeral Home, Cuba. Special music will be "Tomorrow", "Amazing Grace" and "Somewhere Over the Rainbow".

Interment and prayers will follow at the Kinder Cemetery, Cuba.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local library reading program and or your local school library reading program in Marilyn's memory.
