Dorothy P. Corzine of Cuba, Missouri was born Friday, October 21, 1927 at Nashville, Tennessee to the union Leonard and Sarah (Nee: Dunning) Kellems and left from this life, surrounded by family, on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Cuba, Missouri at the age of 90 years. Dorothy was united in marriage to Billie Dean Corzine on October 19, 1946 at West Florissant Baptist Church, Jennings, Missouri and to this union three daughters were born; Becky, Karen and Diana. Dorothy retired from McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Company as a xerox copier in 1985. In 1985 Dorothy and Bill moved to Cuba. Dorothy was a member of the Cuba VFW, Cuba Eastern Star, Cuba American Legion and the Cuba United Methodist Church. She spent hours quilting, bowling, reading and writing poems. She was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinal Baseball and she attended games in each of the Cardinal stadiums. In the spring of 2017 she got to meet the Cardinal players. Dorothy watched every episode of "Murder She Wrote", "Family Feud" and "The Price is Right". She loved to play bingo, eat chocolate and go dancing. What she treasured most in life was spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, great aunt, sister-in-law, grooven granny and friend of everyone she ever met. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Sarah Kellems, husband Bill Corzine, two sisters Janet and husband Virgil Rothmeyer and Catherine LoCocco, one brother Leonard "Bud" Kellems, Jr., brother-in-law Bob Corzine and other family and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her three daughters; Becky and husband Rich Thompson of Cuba, Karen and husband Stephen Leuchtmann of Crystal Lake, Illinois and Diana and husband Dwight Goad of San Jose, California, seven grandchildren; Dena, Adria, Amy, Andrew, Ryan and wife Samantha, Billy and Daniel "Danny", great grandchildren; Ryan, Billie, Owen and many more, one sister Norma and husband Clarence Kamper of Creve Coeur, Missouri, brother-in-law Howard and wife Delma Corzine of Florissant, Missouri, sister-in-law Fran Kellems of St. Peters, Missouri, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 17, 2018 from 5:00 till 8:00 pm at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington Street, Cuba. Funeral service will be 10:30 am Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at the Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba. Special recorded music will be "Somewhere Over the Rainbow", "I'll Be Seeing You", "You'll Never Walk Alone" and "In the Garden". Interment and prayers will follow at the Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba. Honored to serve as pall bearers are Rich Thompson, Ryan Thompson, Billy Thompson and Daniel Thompson. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cuba Animal Shelter or the Cuba Relay for Life in Dorothy's memory. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving Dorothy's family.
