Doris 'Dot' 'Dottie' Mae Pryor

Doris Mae "Dot" "Dottie" Pryor of Overland, Missouri, formerly of Cuba, was born Saturday, October 1, 1927 at Madison, Illinois to the union of Rex and Hadassa "Dassie (Nee: Haus) Worley. She went home, to be with The Lord, on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at DePaul Hospital at the age of 91 years. Dottie was united in marriage to Euel "Pete" Pryor on December 27, 1945 in Fulton, Arkansas and they were the proud parents of Daniel, Carla and Christy. She spent her life taking care of her family and home. She was an excellent seamstress in her younger years. She enjoyed making angels, doing crafts, shopping and was a former member of the Cuba Eastern Star. Dot was known for her cooking and during the years that they went camping, Dottie would cook a big breakfast every morning for everyone. She spent hours volunteering for the Shriner's and she loved working in the nursery at Trinity Chapel. What she truly loved most in life was spending time with her family. Dot was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, great aunt, great-great aunt, sister-in-law and friend of many. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents Rex and Dassie Worley, husband Euel "Pete" Pryor, one sister Leah and husband Zan Cason, two brothers-in-law Waldern Pryor and Ray Pryor, two sisters-in-law Ada Gray and Juanita Whitman and other family and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her loving children; Daniel and wife Barb Pryor of Pearcy, Arkansas, Carla and husband Bernard "Buz" Picker of Troy, Missouri and Christy and husband Anthony "Tony" Tetrault of St. Louis, eight grandchildren; Nick Niedbalski of St. Louis, Tyler Tetrault of St. Louis, Brittany and husband Bryan Whitworth of St. Louis, Tammy and husband Frank James of Wentzville, Tara Hertlein of Troy, Shawn Pryor, Chad and wife Laura Pryor and Dana and husband Mike Threadgill all of Arkansas, two step grandchildren; Danielle and husband Chad Hendrick and Deanne and husband Brian Oswald, seventeen great grandchildren and one more great grandson on the way, sister-in-law Verla Mackinaw of St. Louis, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 5:00 till 8:00 p.m. at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington Street, Cuba. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 19, 2018 at the Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Mace officiating. Special recorded music will be "How Great Thou Art", "Amazing Grace", "Crossing Over Jordan", "Will There Be Any Stars" and "I'll Fly Away". Honored to serve as pall bearers are Nick Niedbalski, Tyler Tetrault, Shawn Pryor, Chad Pryor, Joey Sciortino, Jacob Sisk and honorary pall bearers are Kane Niedbalski and Justin Sisk. Interment and prayers will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, October 19, 2018 at the Boss Cemetery, Boss, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital Burn Unit in Dot's memory. The Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Pryor family
