Dixie L. Beckett (nee: Adair)

Dixie L. Beckett of Bourbon, Missouri was born on April18, 1943, in St. Louis, Missouri to William A. and Dollie C. (Bridgeman) Adair. She left this life on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Washington, Missouri at the age of 80.

Dixie worked as a caregiver in homes and for the Franklin County Home for the Handicap. She loved taking care of others and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Dixie was preceded in death by her parents William A. and Dollie C. (Bridgeman) Adair; husband John J. Beckett; two children Betty Carol Ziegler and Karen Paulette Beckett; three brothers Bill, Alvin and Paul Adair; one grandson, Aliester Beckett; one special angel Lesa M. Mizell.

Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her three children Michelle Beckett and husband Lance Wiese of Bourbon, Allen and wife Angie Beckett of Washington, Lance and wife Melissa Beckett of Middleton, Ohio; four grandchildren Myles and wife Anna Beckett of Sullivan, Devon and wife Tiffany Payne of Bourbon, Bryson Jones of Washington, Eren Beckett of Middleton, Ohio; five great-grandchildren Presley and Carter Beckett, Abbi, Andi and Finn Payne; three sisters Norma Turnbough of Ashland, Brenda Bland of Cuba, Debra and husband Mike Starks of Cuba; one brother Gene and wife Shirley Adair of Sullivan; cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.

Graveside Service officiated by Pastor Derik Ruble, will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2023, 2:00 p.m. at Bourbon Cemetery, Bourbon, Missouri.

Honored to be serving as pallbearers are Myles Beckett, Devon Payne, Allen Beckett, Lance Wiese, Daniel Whatley and Eric Turnbough.
