Dixie Marie Barlow

Dixie Marie Barlow, of Cuba and formerly of Warsaw, Missouri, peacefully departed this life on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on August 27, 1935, in Chillicothe, Missouri, she was the cherished daughter of Harry Leslie and Eva (Patridge) Mason.

Dixie's life was marked by enduring love, as she and Herbert "Herb" Barlow celebrated sixty-eight wonderful years of marriage after uniting in matrimony on August 28, 1952. Throughout her life, Dixie was known for her dedication and hard work, spending many years as a factory worker for Banquet Foods, now Conagra.

A devoted member of Cuba United Methodist Church, Dixie found joy in the simple pleasures of life—she loved reading, caring for her cats, listening to country and western music, arranging flowers, collecting antiques, traveling, and savoring time spent playing cards with loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Leslie and Eva Mason; her husband, Herbert "Herb" Barlow; and her siblings Vernon Mason, Junior Mason, Dean Mason, Norma Mason, and Shirley Crenshaw.

Dixie’s memory will be lovingly treasured by her brother Donnie Mason of Carrollton, Missouri, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many friends who held her dear.

Honoring Dixie's wishes, she will be cremated with a private inurnment to follow at Hale Cemetery in Hale, Missouri. Those wishing to remember Dixie may consider memorial contributions to Cuba United Methodist Church at 903 W. Washington St., Cuba, Missouri.

The Mizell Funeral Home & Crematory is humbled to serve the family during this time, celebrating the life of a remarkable woman whose spirit touched all who knew her.
