Diega W. Devore

Diega W. DeVore (Wisdom) of Raymondville and formerly of Salem, Missouri was born to the union of Ondo and Margaret B. (Wilson) Wisdom on February 4, 1949 in Bunker, Missouri. She left from this life on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, Missouri at the age of 68 years. Diega was united in marriage to Randall DeVore on September 9, 1992 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Diega worked as a Paramedic and LPN at Salem Memorial District Hospital and Texas County Memorial Hospital for over thirty years. She was the first female to be Certified as a Paramedic in Dent County and was an EMS Instructor for several years. In her spare, she enjoyed painting, ceramics, crocheting, reading, traveling, gambling, swimming and spending time with her family and friends. Diega is preceded in death by her parents Ondo and Margaret B. (Wilson) Wisdom. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her husband Randall DeVore of Raymondville, Missouri; six children Carmella and husband Terrence Griffin of St. Louis, Missouri, Jason and wife Erin Strange of Cuba, Missouri, Katrina Swartz of Rolla, Missouri, Travis and wife Samantha Strange of Salem, Missouri, Craig and wife Kathryn Strange of Steelville, Missouri, Valerie Strange of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; one brother Michael and wife Ruthann Wisdom of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; one sister-in-law Kay DeVore of West Plains, Missouri; one nephew Jeffery Wisdom of Baltimore, Maryland; twenty-two grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 1:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home with Lesa Mizell, officiating. In keeping with her wishes, Diega will be cremated following the visitation and funeral service. If desired, memorials would be appreciated to the American Stroke Association. The Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving the DeVore family.
