Dennis Meiser

Dennis Meiser of Cuba, Missouri was born on Sunday, October 23, 1955 in Wood River, Illinois to the union of Robert Edward and Fern (Earney) Meiser. He left from this life surrounded by his family on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan, Missouri at the age of 65 years.

Dennis was the proud owner/operator of Missouri Hick Bar-B-Que in Cuba. His rustic restaurant and great food, brought people to Cuba from all walks of life. He was a very kind and generous man. He loved being a master wood carver and his works could be found throughout his restaurant. In his spare time he enjoyed his classic cars, boating, golfing and going to live Rock-n-roll concerts.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents Robert Edward Mesier and Fern (Earney) Meiser; one brother-in-law Larry Osborn; one fur baby Cooper.

Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his son Ryan Meiser of Cuba; four sisters Janet Osborn of Cuba, Karen and husband Mike Greer of Bismarck, Diane and husband Dwayne Gress of Plainview, Illinois, Patricia and husband Stephan Wood of Cuba; one aunt Pearl Stites of Steelville; one faithful fur companion Goliath; cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, MO Hick Crew and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 from 4-8 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri.

Private Family Service will be held.

Interment will be held at Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.
