Demetra Lynn Weigel

Demetra Lynn Weigel of Cuba, Missouri was born on March 18, 1956 in St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Jack and Patsy (Hardin) Pigg. She left from this life peacefully on Friday, August 13, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur, Missouri at the age of 65 years.

Demetra was united in marriage to Norman R. Weigel on July 2, 1981 in St. Louis, Missouri. They raised five children together Cynthia, Demetra, Norman Jr., Gloria and Jo Ann.

Demetra was a homemaker. She loved taking care of her home, family, cats, dogs and birds. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing Bingo.

Demetra is preceded in death by her parents Jack and Patsy (Hardin) Pigg; husband Norman R. Weigel; infant son John Wesley Weigel; brother Kevin Pigg.

Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her five children Cynthia Brandt of Cuba, Demetra and husband Ronny Bugg of Mulberry, Arkansas, Norman and wife Jana Weigel, Jr. of Owensville, Gloria and husband Larry Lewis of Licking, Jo Ann and husband Allen Robinson of St. James; one sister Jackie Zagar of Illinois; eighteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.

In keeping with her wishes, Demetra will be cremated. No services are planned at this time.
