Darrel W. "Deek" Eads

Darrel Wayne “Deek” Eads of Cuba, Missouri was born on March 10, 1950, in Rolla, Missouri to the union of John N. and Bernice A. (Kitchen) Eads. He left from this life on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan, Missouri at the age of 71.

Darrel was a gifted learner and his high grades earned him the honor to be Valedictorian speaker of the Cuba High School Class of 1968. After high school, his life journey became strewn with opportunities, and he chose to work for the Chrysler Corporation. After many years of dedicated service, Darrel retired from Chrysler and enjoyed his time being with his family and friends and keeping up with St. Louis Cardinal Baseball! Darrel was a kind and gentle soul, with a big heart and never met a stranger. He always enjoyed doing for others and taking time to brighten someone’s day. He loved to purchase small gifts to surprise a friend, because he valued people and enjoyed spreading joy.

Darrel is preceded in death by his parents Rev. John N. and Bernice A. (Kitchen) Eads; wife Donna Lucille (Robinson) Eads; brother John “Roger” (Janelle) Eads; aunts and uncles Ruthene Kitchen, James Eads, Arthur Eads and Loretta and husband John Scott.

Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his brother Steve and wife Jane Eads of Cuba; two nephews Stephen Eads, Jr. of Kansas City, Kansas, and Jason Eads of Rolla; one great niece and two great nephews Ella, Harrison, and Elijah Eads; two uncles Lawrence Kitchen of Bourbon, Elbert and wife Sandra Kitchen of Sullivan; cousins and many friends.

In keeping with his wishes, Darrel will be cremated.

Memorial Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, from 4-7 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba.

Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, 7:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Wendell Sapp, officiating.
