Darlene M. Mullen of Cuba, Missouri was born on June 28, 1957, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She left this life suddenly on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at her home at the age of 65.

 

Darlene was united in marriage to Robert C. “Bob” Mullen on May 21, 1994, at Cuba Christian Church.

 

Darlene with her late husband Bob owned and operated ABC Investments in Cuba. She was a member of the Cuba Free Will Baptist Church, Cuba Lions Club, Route 66 Association, and car clubs. In her off time from the office, Darlene could be found in her kitchen cooking and baking for many events. She and Bob hosted several events over the years at Bob’s Gasoline Alley. She had a big heart and always made sure everyone else was taken care of, she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

 

Darlene is preceded in death by her husband Robert “Bob” Mullen; one sister Gail Kohler; brother Eddie Stevens; two sisters-in-law Grace Kaysinger and Mildred Bell; two brothers-in-law Bennett Mullen and Cleatis Mullen.

 

Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her two children Katina Epperson of Springfield, Missouri and Scotty and wife Jamie Epperson of Mulberry Grove, Illinois; six grandchildren Chad and wife Alisha Epperson of Cuba, Zachary Walters of Cuba, Blake Walters of Springfield, Arjan Lucas and Karlynn Epperson of Mulberry Grove; three great-grandchildren Erik, Freya and Runa Epperson of Cuba; three brothers Richie and wife Pat Stevens of Homer, Louisiana, Ronnie Stevens of Danville, Pennsylvania, Robbie and wife Theresa Stevens of Los Angeles, California; one sister Carol Bender of Coopersburg, Pennsylvania; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.

 

Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023, 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Bob’s Gasoline Alley 822 Beamer Lane, Cuba, Missouri.

 

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023, 3:00 p.m. at Bob’s Gasoline Alley with Pastor Don Martin, officiating.

 

In keeping with her wishes, Darlene was cremated.

 

If desired, memorials would be appreciated to Cuba Free Will Baptist Church 707 Myrtle St. Cuba, Missouri 65453.
