Charles David Redding

September 9, 1957 — July 12, 2014

Charles David Redding of Rolla, Missouri formerly of Cuba was born September 9, 1957 at St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Charles and Edna Redding and left from this life on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Columbia, Missouri at the age of 56 years. Dave was united in marriage to Mary Zeiss on April 23, 1977 at St. Louis, Missouri and to this union two children were born Greg and Tracy. Dave worked at the Ford plant before becoming disabled in 1989. When he was able he enjoyed hunting, fishing, painting and hanging wall paper. He always watched wrestling on Monday night and spent hours putting together model cars. What he loved most was spending time with his family and friends. Dave was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. Dave is preceded in death by his father Charles Redding, daughter Tracy Redding, brother-in-law Don Zeiss and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving wife Mary of the home, son Greg Redding of Rolla, five grandchildren David Redding, Dyanna Redding, Fayth Redding, Hope Redding and Destiny Whitman, mother Edna Redding of St. Louis, two sisters Diana Hoffer of South Carolina and Grace Huber of St. Louis, two brothers-in-law Ron and wife Carol Zeiss of St. Peters, Missouri and Michael Zeiss of Callaway County, Missouri, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 2:00 till 8:00 PM Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington, Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 18, 2014 at the Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba. Special music will be ââ‚œHow Do I Liveâ₝ ââ‚œDaddyââ‚â„¢s Handsâ₝, ââ‚œGo Rest High on That Mountainâ₝ and ââ‚œWind Beneath My Wingsâ₝. Honored to serve as pall bearers are: Greg Redding, Dallas Hogue, Lance cook, Nick Huber, David Redding, Lanell Edwards and Shawn Redding. Interment and prayers will follow at the Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Redding family.
