Obituary

Charles "Charlie" William Coster Jr., 75, of Cuba, passed away, Monday, March 23, 2026, in the comforting presence of his beloved wife at Mercy Hospital in Washington.

On August 22, 1950, Charlie was born to the union of Charles W. Coster Sr. and Martha (Sabransky) in Germantown, New York.

He was united in marriage to Frances Julia "Julie" Myint on January 25, 1995, in Greenport, New York.

"A jack of all trades, a master of none, is often times greater than a master of one". This quote best describes Charlie. He could tinker and repair almost anything. If you had a piece of equipment or appliance that wasn't working, it sure would be by the time Charlie was done with it. He had this impressive talent of identifying old cars and giving all the details one the make, model and specs just by looking at them. He probably had achieved this talent after his younger years of working on and building fast cars. He took great pride in caring for his wife, Julie. Charlie maintained a beautiful home and property for them to live on and create lasting memories. He was able to save a few bucks over the years thanks to his self-made nature and can-do attitude. He loved keeping their property neat and clean, tending to the garden, pond and their beautiful home. Charlie had a colorful sense of humor, to put it kindly. Most of all, spending time with Julie is what Charlie loved the most.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Sr. & Martha Coster; stepson, Dean Myint.

Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Julie Coster of Cuba; four stepsons, Omar (Becky) Myint of St. Louis, Matt (Tiffany) Myint of Virginia Beach, Dan Myint of Virginia Beach & Justin Myint of New York; four grandchildren, Kaylee Myint, Imani Myint, Thomas Myint & Alissa Myint; fur-babies, Luna, Jasper & Bebe; other relatives and many friends.
