Caroline J. Channell

January 15, 1944 — October 10, 2021

Caroline Jane Channell of Bourbon and formerly of Steele, Missouri was born on Saturday, January 15, 1944 in Blytheville, Arkansas to the union of Guy and Betty (Matthews) Channell. She left from this life on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan at the age of 77 years.

Caroline obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Memphis State University. Her career educating children would span forty plus years. She taught school at Presbyterian Christian Academy, Cooter Public School, Gosnell Public School and later she would finish her career as the Librarian for the Blytheville Elementary Public School.

Caroline was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Bourbon. She enjoyed flower gardening, birds and taking care of her fur babies Lilly Ann and Morris Henry. She loved getting to be Momma to her son Jared and being MeMe to Jessup.

Caroline is preceded in death by her parents Guy and Betty (Matthews) Channell.

Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her loving son Jared and wife Jannel Boast of Bourbon, Missouri; one darling grandson Jessup Boast; one aunt Beulah Weaver of Corinth, Mississippi; five cousins Karen Weaver of Corinth, Mississippi, Keith Weaver of California, Gary and wife Suzanne Channell of St. Charles, Missouri, Pog Childers of Cooter, Missouri, James “Buddy” and wife Jo Childers of Travers, Florida.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021 from 4-6 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Bourbon 355 Walnut St. Bourbon, Missouri.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021 6:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Bourbon with Bro. Ted Hurley, officiating.

Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 1:00 p.m. at Mount Zion Cemetery in Steele, Missouri with Bro. John Earl Dunavant, officiating.
