Carl William Delbert Bridgeman

April 27, 1946 — August 29, 2017

Carl William Delbert Bridgeman of Parsons, Kansas was born on Saturday, April 27, 1946 at Leasburg, Missouri to the union of John and Ruth (Nee: Adair) Bridgeman and went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at the Promise Skill Nursing Facility at Overland Park, Kansas at the age of 71 years. Carl was united in marriage to Betty C. Morris and they were the proud parents of Pam, Delbert, Bill, Sherry and Lester Ray. Carl worked as a carpenter and dry wall installer for many years before his health began to decline. He spent hours reading his bible. Carl was an amazing guitarist. He could play anything you wanted to hear, especially songs from the old church hymnal. In his younger years, they did lots of camping and Carl did some wood working. For the last few years Carl enjoyed solitaire on the computer. What Carl enjoyed most was traveling to Cuba for family reunions or just to be able to sit around and visiting with all his siblings and family. Carl was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, great uncle, brother-in-law and friend of many. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. Carl is preceded in death by his parents John and Ruth Bridgeman, two brothers Wayne and Johnny and wife Teri Bridgeman, one sister Lola Mae Holland, one daughter Pam Palmer, one son Delbert Bridgeman, one brother-in-law Bob Morris and other family and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving wife Betty Bridgeman of the home, three children Bill Morris of Cherryville, Kansas, Sherry and husband Howard Hester of Cherryville, Kansas and Lester Ray Bridgeman of Parsons, Kansas, eighteen grandchildren, forty great grandchildren, eight brothers Richard and wife Norma Bridgeman of Cuba, Orville and wife Lois Bridgeman of Newberry Park, California, Lawrence Bridgeman of Cuba, Haskell and wife Linda Bridgeman of Cuba, Larry and wife Wanda Bridgeman of Cuba, Clifford and wife Delphia Bridgeman of Cuba, Rodger Sr. and wife Brenda Bridgeman of Cuba and Lester and wife Glenda Bridgeman of Cuba, three sisters Stella and husband Wilbert Buchka of Cuba, Beverly and husband Jay Hanes of Cuba and Sharon and husband Dallas Britton of Cuba, in-law; Ernie Holland of Cuba, Marian Bridgeman of Cuba, Frances Du Laney of Cuba, Becky Chapman of Steelville, Ed and wife Penny Copling of Lebanon, Missouri, Ray and wife Cheryl Copling of Bourbon, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 2, 2017 from 10:30 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington Street, Cuba. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba with Pastor Clifford Bridgeman officiating. Special recorded music will be "I Can't Even Walk", "I Call Home" and "Landslide". Interment and prayers will follow at the Lick Creek Cemetery, Cuba. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving Carl's family
