Bobby "Blake" Williams, affectionately known as Blake, passed away on July 6, 2026, at the age of 61, leaving behind a lifetime of memories, stories, and lessons learned through hard work, determination, and living life on his own terms.
Blake was born on September 28, 1964, in Ft Hood Texas to Bob and Jo Ann Williams. Some of Blake’s fondest childhood memories were made alongside his cousins, Jeffrey and Michael Todd. Together they spent countless hours fishing, exploring the outdoors, and playing until the sun went down. Those carefree days built a bond that endured throughout their lives, and their friendship remained a source of comfort and connection through the years. Once grown, he spent his early adulthood married to Debbie Williams, riding Harleys, enjoying the open road, and making memories with family and friends.
Throughout his career, Blake worked in the cable television and utilities industry, helping build and expand services to underserved communities. He took pride in his work and the role he played in connecting people.
After retiring due to disability, Blake devoted his time to the things he enjoyed most. He was a natural tinkerer who could fix nearly anything he set his mind to. Whether it was a tractor, four-wheeler, small engine, or just about anything with a motor, Blake loved figuring out how things worked and bringing them back to life. He also had a passion for junking, collecting treasures, and finding a good deal. He never passed up the opportunity to browse a flea market, auction, garage sale, or roadside find, always believing there was value waiting to be discovered.
Blake lived life by the beat of his own drum. He loved the outdoors; valued time spent with friends and family and found joy in life’s simple pleasures.
He was preceded in death by his birth mother, Jo Ann Williams; two sisters, Julia Harlow and Diana Shrum; and one brother, Tommy Shrum.
Blake is survived by his father and mother, Bobby and J. Carol Williams of Leasburg, Missouri; his sisters, Karen Bartlett of Cuba, Missouri, Shonna Williams of Leasburg, Missouri, and Amanda Flowers (husband Lee) of Cuba, Missouri; his brother, Mark Williams (wife Amanda) of Mesa, Arizona; his beloved cousins, Jeffrey and Michael Todd Williams; and many other extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
Though Blake often chose his own path, those who knew and loved him will remember his resourcefulness, his independent spirit, and his ability to find value where others might not look. His memory will live on in the stories shared, the things he fixed, and the lives he touched along the way.
In keeping with his wishes, Blake will be cremated. The family will hold a private family gathering and place his cremated remains at Kinder Cemetery.
The Mizell Funeral Home & Crematory is honored to be serving the family of Bobby "Blake" Williams.
