Bill D. Brummet of Cuba, Missouri was born on February 3, 1935 in St. Louis, Missouri and left from this life on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan, Missouri at the age of 81 years. Bill was united in marriage to Ruth Altman on October 3, 1953 in St. Louis, Missouri and to this union three children were born Gary, Larry and Janine. Bill retired from John Swift Printing Company in St. Louis as a Pressman, after many years of dedicated service. He enjoyed living at Indian Hills, fishing, square dancing, woodworking and spending time with his family and friends. Bill is preceded in death by his parents Kenneth Brummet and Nellie Dowdy; wife Ruth Brummet. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his three children Gary and wife Krystal Brummet of Kansas City, Kansas, Larry Brummet of Hazelwood, Missouri, Janine and husband Doug Mallory of Cuba, Missouri; two sisters Sherry Grisco of Theodosia, Missouri, Jackie and husband Bill Groshius of St. Louis, Missouri; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 24, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 24, 2016 12:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home with Father Rich Boever, officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri If desired, memorials would be appreciated to the American Cancer Society. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Brummet family.
