Betty M. Walls

April 30, 1936 — May 31, 2021

Betty Maxine Walls of Leasburg, Missouri was born on Thursday, April 30, 1936, in Bunker, Missouri to the union of Thiller and Martha (Watson) Terrill. She left from this life on Monday, May 31, 2021, surrounded by her family at her home at the age of 85 years.

Betty was united in marriage to Willard Walls on December 28, 1956. To this union six children were born Darlene, Rita, Melody, Diane, Sheila, and Terry.

Betty's working career started in 1954 at a chicken farm, she would later work for and retire from Independent Stave Mill Company in Cuba.

Although Betty worked outside the home, she was a homemaker at heart. She enjoyed taking care of her family and loved to cook and use the garden harvest she had canned. She had a green thumb and was able to grow beautiful flowers and spent many wonderful hours tending to her flower garden. When the chores were done, she loved to crochet, work on puzzle books, or join the family in a game of aggravation, or a round of cards.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents Thiller and Martha (Watson) Terrill; one sister Shirley Burrus; great-great-granddaughter Rylee McClain; one sister-in-law Melba Terrill; three brothers-in-law Willard Burrus, Carl Vance and Len Williams.

Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her loving husband of sixty-four years Willard Walls of the home; six children Darlene and husband Dean Clawson of Leasburg, Rita and husband Ron Colter of New Haven, Melody and husband Stan Shoemaker of Owensville, Diane Sappington of Leasburg, Sheila and husband Gary Land of Leasburg, Terry Walls of Bourbon; nine brothers and sisters Joy Terrill of Salem, Claudine Vance of Salem, Wanda Williams of Bunker, Millie and husband Den Williams of Bunker, Dwain and wife Dorothy Terrill of Bunker, Anna and husband Jim Misuraco of Bunker, Sudie and husband Henry Williams of Edgar Springs, Kathy and husband Rick Damouth of Leasburg, Jay and wife Connie Terrill of Bunker; eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.
