Betty L. Bommel, of Cuba, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, December 11, 2022, at the age of 95. She was born on April 5, 1928, in Fulton, Missouri to her loving parents Herman and Pearl (Pierson) Allen.

Betty was united in marriage to Robert D. Bommel on June 14, 1946, in Kansas City, Kansas. Together they were blessed with two children: Robert D., Jr. and Stephen Allen.

Throughout her life, Betty held various jobs including working at a shoe factory and dress factory. She later dedicated her time and energy at the Charles E. Still Hospital in Jefferson City. Outside of work, Betty had a passion for cooking, baking, fishing, and gardening. She was also an avid reader who cherished her time spent engrossed in a book.

Preceding her in death were her parents Herman and Pearl (Pierson) Allen; husband Robert D. Bommel Sr.; infant son Stephen Allen Bommel; brother James Herman Allen; as well as brothers-in-law Gerald, Floyd, John "Jack," and James L. Bommel.

Betty will forever be remembered by her devoted son Robert D. Bommel Jr. of Cuba and sister-in-law Emma Bommel of Jefferson City.

In accordance with Betty's wishes, she has been cremated and a private inurnment will take place at Callaway Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Fulton.
