Barbara Jeannie Zobrist of Cuba, Missouri was born Sunday, January 23, 1955 at St. Louis, Missouri to the union Ralph E. and Veda L. (Nee: Leslie) Adams. She left from this life on Sunday, August 9, 2020 at the Missouri Baptist Medical Center, St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 65 years.
Jeannie was united in marriage to Michael Zobrist in 1979 at the St. Louis City Hall. They became the proud parents of Michael, Veda, Stephanie and Anthony.
Jeannie worked for different companies in the Cuba Industrial Park, but her last job was at Ozark Mountain Technologies. Jeannie worked until her health began to decline and she had to wear oxygen all the time.
Jeannie had been a Christian all her life. She had a faith that could move mountains. Her family meant the world to her and you didn't have to be related to be part of Jeannie's family.
When her children were growing-up she enjoyed taking them to the drive-in, camping, going on picnics, bowling and just spending time with them. In her spare time Jeannie enjoyed playing bingo, talking on the phone, playing games on her computer especially Yo World.
Jeannie was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, great aunt and friend of everyone. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Veda Adams; one infant son Anthony Zobrist; five brothers Ralph Adams, Jr., Martin Adams. Michael Adams, Brian Adams, Gary Adams; two brothers-in-law Melvin Makara and Michael Evans; one nephew Daniel Adams and other family and friends.
Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her loving husband Michael Zobrist of the home; amazing children Michael and wife Tiffany Zobrist of St. Louis, Veda and husband Shawn Combs of Cuba, Stephanie Zobrist of Cuba, Shelby Adams of Cuba, Amy Starks of Cuba and Steven Adams of Cuba; spoiled grandchildren Chloe, Ethan, Justice, Mason, Morgan, Viola, Harmony and Aiden; one brother Tony and wife Pat Adams of St. Louis; five sisters Jackie Makara of Cuba, Carolyn and husband Donald Bowolak of St. Louis, Debbie Evans of St. Louis, Sandra Mendoza of Cuba and Terri and husband Jim Tyler of Cuba, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be Friday, August 14, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington Street, Cuba.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 14, 2020 at the Mizell Funeral Home. Special recorded music will be "I Can Only Imagine", "You Raise Me Up" and "Go Rest High on that Mountain".
Interment and prayers will follow at the Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.
