Annie M. Ryerson

Annie M. Ryerson of Cuba, Missouri was born January 29, 1928 at Granite City, Illinois to the union of Daniel and Gennie (Nee: Bridgeman) Harper and left from this life on Monday, December 9, 2013 at Cuba, Missouri at the age of 85. Annie was united in marriage to Russell Ryerson on October 4, 1948 and to this union ten children were born; Betty, Margaret, Velma, Billy Wayne, Rose, Russell, Richard, Vernon, Timothy and Jimmy Lee. Annie spent her life taking care of her home and her family. She spent hours canning, sewing, crocheting and making crafts. In her younger years she enjoyed playing the guitar and singing. Annie was baptized as a child and then spent forty plus years as an evangelist wife. She was a member of the Living Waters Fellowship in St. James and was always smiling and happy to see you. Annie was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt, great aunt, great-great aunt, sister-in-law, cousin and friend. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Annie is preceded in death by her parents Daniel and Gennie Harper, husband Rev. Russell Ryerson, two sons Billy Wayne Ryerson and Jimmy Lee Ryerson, five brothers Ernest, Ralph, Luther, Leo and Harold and other family and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy is her children: Betty Ryerson of Cuba, Margaret Baylock of Michigan, Velma Humphrey of Cuba, Rose Ryerson of Cuba, Russell Ryerson of Goodfield, Illinois, Richard and wife Ellen Ryerson of Cherryville, Vernon and wife Esther Ryerson of Cuba and Timothy and wife Jeanie Ryerson of Cuba, twenty three grandchildren, many great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, sisters Ruby Brown of Potosi and Gladine Meador of Oklahoma, brothers Traffie Harper of Stanton and Billy Harper of Potosi, sister-in-law Betty and husband Lloyd Pennock of Bourbon, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 11, 2013 from 4:00 till 7:00 PM at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington Street, Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, December 12, 2013 at the Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba, with Brother Jimmy Lewis officiating. Interment and prayers will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Ryerson family.
