Amy Linda Cope

Amy Linda Cope of Ferndale Residential Care Facility, St. James was born on January 20, 1965, in Washington, D.C., the daughter of John Edward and Virginia Letitia (Nee: Tufft) Cope and left from this life on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Phelps County Regional Medical Center, Rolla, Missouri at the age of 48 years. Prior to living in Missouri, Amy was a resident of New Haven, Connecticut; Orlando, Florida; and Laurel, Maryland. Amy will be remembered for her sweet disposition and her fondness of music. She particularly enjoyed time spent with family and friends. She is preceded in death by her father John Cope in 1980 and her mother Virginia in 2004 and other family and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy is her son Marcus Hutchings; two sisters: Eileen Avis of West Palm Beach, FL; and Mary Beth Graf of California, PA; three nephews, four nieces; her guardian Franky Todd; her caregiver Janet Douglas; and her many friends and acquaintances at Ferndale and in Steelville, where she had resided for several years with her mother. A memorial service will take place at Ferndale Residential Care Facility at a later date. Inurnment will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving Amy's family.
