Louise Gilbert of Spanish Lake, Missouri was born Monday, February 23, 1942 in Crawford County to the union of Leonard M. and Alice M. (nee: Peeters) Licklider and left from this life on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at Fenton, Missouri at the age of 67 years 6 months and 3 days. Louise was united in marriage to James Gilbert and to this union four children were born Pamela, David, Cynthia and Jeffrey. Louise worked as a night stocker for Walmart the last four years. In her spare time she enjoyed yard work, crafts, sewing and crocheting. But what she truly enjoyed most was spending time with her family and friends. Louise was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Louise is preceded in death by her husband James Gilbert, parents Leonard and Alice Licklider and other family members and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy is her loving children Pamela Gilbert and friend Jane of Troy, Missouri, David and wife Jayme Gilbert of Florissant, Missouri, Cynthia Gilbert of Florissant, Missouri and Jeffrey Gilbert of St. Louis, Missouri, brother Ron and wife Vicki Licklider of Washington, Missouri, two sisters Lori and husband Joe Graves of Beverly Hills, Florida and Shirley and husband Peter Schmidt of Warrenton, Missouri, six grandchildren Andy, Andria, Ashley, Austin, Nathan and Kyle Gilbert, her favorite friend 郢邀邜Zoey郢邀邝 the dog, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held Friday, August 28th from 5 till 8 pm at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Funeral service will be 10 am Saturday, August 29th at the Licklider Cemetery Chapel with Pastor Gary Mace officiating. Special music will be Amazing Grace and It郢邀邙s a Wonderful World. Interment will follow at Licklider Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Licklider Cemetery in Louise郢邀邙s memory. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Gilbert/Licklider family.
