Laura Hunt

Laura Catherine Hunt of Bourbon, Missouri was born Thursday, September 9, 1926 at Owensville, Missouri to the union of Henry Eikermann and Clara (nee: Haffner) Eikermann and left from this life on Friday, March 13, 2009 at Sullivan, Missouri at the age of 82 years 6 months and 4 days. Laura worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 33 years retiring in 1978 as a supervisor. After retiring she moved to their farm in Bourbon. Laura spent 25+ years volunteering and working for the Bourbon Community Center. Laura was a loving daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt, great-great aunt, cousin and friend. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Laura is preceded in death by her husband Horace Hunt, parents Henry and Clara Eikermann, two brothers Oscar Henry and wife Lillian Eikermann and Harold Eikermann, five sisters Meta and husband Monk Meade, Ella and husband Paul Maples, Elsie and husband Ed Hansen, Hilda Joslin and Lydia and husband Jr. Ohen and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory is one brother Walter and wife Adriane Eikermann of Owensville, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews, other relatives and friends. Memorial service Sunday, March 22, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church of Bourbon with Pastor Leo Shumaker officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Bourbon Community Center in Laura郢邀邙s memory. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Hunt family.
