Gary Lynn Spain

Gary Lynn Spain of Cuba, Missouri was born October 31, 1956 in St. Louis, Missouri and left from this life suddenly on Friday, December 21, 2012 at Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla, Missouri at the age of 56. Gary was the owner/operator of Gary's Concrete for 22 years. He was a member of the Cuba Free Will Baptist Church, where he was a Music Leader. He enjoyed playing his guitar, being an animal lover, feeding the birds, deer, turkeys and whatever else may come onto his property. Gary is preceded in death by his father Paul Spain; one infant brother Jerome Spain. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his wife Linda (LaHay) Spain of Cuba, Missouri; mother Dolly and husband Ed Link of St. Charles, Missouri; two sons Michael Spain of Cuba, Missouri, Danny Spain of O'Fallon, Missouri; two step-children Raymond and wife Julie Riddle of Elsberry, Missouri, Patricia Headrick of Cuba, Missouri; father-in-law and mother-in-law Greg and Gloria LaHay, Sr. of St. Louis, Missouri; brother-in-law Greg and wife Denise LaHay of St. Louis, Missouri; sixteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday December 23, 2012 5:00 p.m. until time of Funeral service 7:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Don Martin, officiating. Commital service will be held on Monday, December 24, 2012 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Cemetery 5200 Lucas and Hunt Rd., St. Louis, Missouri. If desired, memorials would be appreciated to Cuba Free Will Baptist Church 707 Myrtle St. Cuba, Missouri 65453. The Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Spain family.
