Elizabeth Rose 'Liz' Bowman

Elizabeth Rose "Liz" Bowman of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Elmer and Alma (Holliday) Weeks on April 21, 1938 in Creve Coeur, Missouri and left from this life on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla, Missouri at the age of 73. Liz was a Cafeteria Worker at the Cuba Middle School for the past 7 years. She enjoyed taking care of others whether it be one of the school children or her family. In her spare time she enjoyed traveling, fishing, shopping and gambling. Liz gave one of the greatest gifts of all by being an organ donor, so she could help life go on for someone else. Liz is preceded in death by her father Elmer Weeks and one granddaughter Erica Gillahan. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her husband James I. Bowman of the home; four children Richard and wife Bobbi Weeks of Ellisville, Missouri, Darryl and wife Annie Weeks of Whiteland, Indiana, Brenda Cook of Greenwood, Indiana, Jeffrey Jarvis of House Springs, Missouri; two step-children Michele Bowman and friend Richard of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, Tracey and husband Michael Smith of Overland, Missouri; mother Alma Weeks of Farmington, Missouri; three sisters Shirley Winningham of Florida, Eleanor Rhodes of Shell Knob, Missouri, Pamela and husband John Pace of Dittmer, Missouri; one brother Elmer Weeks of Lake Timberline, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 2, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. at the Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2011 11:00 a.m. at the Mizell Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.
