Doris A. Wenzel of Bourbon, Missouri was born to the union of George and Kitty (Moore) Danielson on January 11, 1930 Jericho, Missouri and left from this life on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 82. Doris was united in marriage to Kenneth W. Wenzel on July 9, 1945 in Rolla, Missouri and to this union five daughters were born Donna, Jane, Joyce, Ruth and Patty. Doris retired from Paramount Apparel Factory in Bourbon after many years of dedicated service. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bourbon, Missouri. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, gardening, flowers, playing rummy and spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. Doris is preceded in death by her parents George Danielson and Kitty (Moore) Danielson; step-mother Kathryn Danielson; one brother J.C. Danielson; one sister Marguerite Shelton-Stroup; one granddaughter Kelly Jean Elliott. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her husband Kenneth W. Wenzel of Bourbon, Missouri; five daughters Donna and husband Al Summers of Anutt, Missouri, Jane Valley of Bourbon, Missouri, Joyce Wenzel of Bourbon, Missouri, Ruth and husband Royce Missey of Leasburg, Missouri, Patty and husband Robert Mesger of Sullivan, Missouri; ten grandchildren Jamie Elliott, Sheila Henson, Brett and Damon Summers, George and Jerry Valley, Becky, Ed and Tim Missey, Amanda Mesger; ten great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Thelma Wenzel of Bourbon, Missouri; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 16, 2012 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. at Mizell Funeral Home with Bro. Chuck Cook, officiating. Interment will follow at Lick Creek Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. Honored to serve as pallbearers Ed Misssey, Jamie Elliott, Jimmy Henson, George Valley, Damon Summers, Joe Murphy and Ronnie Wenzel. The Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Wenzel family.
