Delbert Eugene Wyatt Bridgeman of Chetopa, Kansas formerly of Cuba was born on Saturday, November 7, 1964 at Sullivan, Missouri to the union of Carl and Betty (Nee: Morris) Bridgeman and left from this life Friday, May 24, 2013 at St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 48 years. Delbert was united in marriage to Peggy Hickock on June 14, 2002. He is the proud father of Linsey, Jeffrey "Kale" and Frank. Delbert spent 30+ years working in construction. He could build anything and everything from commercial to residential. He enjoyed being in the country hunting deer, turkey, dove, pheasant and rabbits and would spend hours fishing. He was always telling stories and jokes, helping family and friends; he liked Old Western movies and good comedy. What was most important to Delbert was family and spending time with his grandchildren. Delbert was a loving son, brother, husband, father, papa, uncle, nephew, cousin, brother-in-law and friend to many. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy is his loving wife Peggy Bridgeman of Chetopa, Kansas, three children Linsey Bridgeman of Chetopa, Kansas, Jeffrey "Kale" and friend Kirstien Davis of Altamont, Kansas and Frank and wife Heather Pousher of Parsons, Kansas, seven grandchildren Anthony, Dakota, Jeremy, Trevor, Jayden, Paityn, Kaelyn, parents Carl and Betty Bridgeman of Chetopa, Kansas, two brothers Bill Morris of Joplin, Missouri and Lester Ray Bridgeman of Cherryville, Kansas, two sisters Pam Palmer of Cherryville, Kansas, Sherry and husband Howard Hester of Cherryville, Kansas, like a sister Kim Morris, brothers-in-law Daniel Hickman of Wagner, Oklahoma, Charles Hickman of Grove, Oklahoma and Billy Hickman of Wagoner, Oklahoma, two sisters-in-law Lynda Knowlton of Coffeyville, Kansas and Terry Hickock of Fayette, Missouri, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2013 from 10:00 AM till 2:00 PM at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington, Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at the Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba with Brother Roger Taber officiating. Special music will be "Free Bird", "Going Home" and "When I Get Where I'm Going". In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family in care of Mizell Funeral Home. Interment and prayers will follow at the Lick Creek Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Bridgeman family.
